Meet our Team of Contributors!
Shonte’ Cherry has a passion for fiction and a knack for comedic timing paired with feel-good messages that tug the heart and invoke change. In 2015 Shonte’ experienced a powerful encounter with Christ that compelled her to rededicate her life and lead her on a quest to change the way women date. After Graduating in 2015 from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelors degree in communications and a minor in journalism, she decided to explore her love for writing. Her first book titled Brave received rave reviews on Amazon and social media, showcasing her creative writing style infused with biblical principles. Brave has quickly become the go-to/must read for book clubs and Saturday night girl chat.
In the past I would ask the question, is it possible to date with purpose? Well, now I believe it’s the only way!
Shonte’ is currently writing her second book and is co-writer for various projects. Her hobbies include DIY beauty products and coaching young women with runway modeling.
Fanta Love considers herself a concert enthusiast who enjoys journaling, reading, and intimate time with friends over coffee or wine. In 2015 Fanta Graduated from Pennsylvania State University with her Bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Studies. Fanta was raised in a traditional Baptist church in West Philadelphia. Although very active in serving in several ministries as a child and young adult, she came to have a personal relationship with Christ while attending college.
I decided to intentionally believe and follow Him in college. I am increasingly blown away by all of who He is. I am a mess and yet He is faithful.
Fanta is currently employed as a Behavioral Health Worker for young children and attends Epiphany Fellowship, a church focused on urban missions and committed to glorifying Christ in every area of life.
As deep as some of the above may sound, i’m pretty regular. The only deep thing about me is not about me at all. I’m just thankful that Christ is keeping me and growing me daily (2 Corinthians 4:16).
Reverend Katrina Hardee-Brown’s favorite place to be is by any body of water, reflecting, writing and admiring God’s creation. On May 7, 2017, Katrina took the next step in her ministry and was ordained as a reverend. Katrina knew at a very young age that God called her to ministry and in 2011, at the age of 18, she answered that call.
I had been told my entire life that God was calling me to do something great and that I was something special. It took me until 18 to truly embrace my calling. Certainly God has kept me (Psalm 91:11).
Katrina’s ministry style is unique as she seeks to teach people the principles of God through practical life application. Katrina prays that her authentic, raw, and relate-able approach to ministry will lead this generation back to the loving and redeeming power of Christ.
I wear many hats; mother, minister, poet, teacher, author, and more…but my greatest joys come from ministry and motherhood.
Katrina’s hope that as she walks through every day trials and tribulations, she will leave behind a story that will be a blessing to others and change the world!
